Things keep chugging along in the Ares world, as they should in my opinion.

What's the news on SRB recovery? I heard something a while back about non-recovery to enhance performance- was that just for Ares-V or was it merely an idea, and not actually necessary?
That's the first I've heard of it. Do you have any more info? I'm pretty curious about that.

It has been proposed to make for the under performance of Ares I. That is in itself negates a primary reason for using an SRB for the first stage of Ares i.
(per the ESAS)
'Failure Precursor Identification and Correction: The design capitalizes on the significant failure precursor identification and elimination from recovery and post-flight inspection of the recovered SRBs"
It has been proposed to make for the under performance of Ares I.
Please explain. I don't understand the sentence.

I think Rick was looking for...more? Come on, guy, you are SUPER chatty on the "other" site with thousands of posts. Give us a bone and let us know in a little more depth (really, no jive...I'm interested).
