Is there a place you guys hang out at?
I have a friend in Stockton California (Ron Allen) who I always communicate with on Yahoo messenger or MSN messenger as the countdown proceeds and after launch for a bit... we met online in 1998
I think it would be great if we can get a bunch of guys/ gals together like that during a launch. We could all learn a whole lot together!
any thoughts?
Should I have posted this somewhere else???
sorry

Ron,
I agree. The usual problem appears to be the launch slipping to the right, which makes many folks back off making plans to see a launch locally. I usually watch launches next to the LCC, or at KARS Park I, or even from my back yard.
Over the last 8 years or so, I've tried to organize a get-together at our house, or somewhere close by, but again, it can be difficult due to launch scheduling.
If you want to take a stab at organizing something, please feel free! :)
Also, I did move this thread to this forum, as it seemed a better place for it.

rick I meant an online place ..
Hi Ron,
Sorry, I misunderstood your question. As far as I know, there is not a place for that. Certainly not one that we visit.
We could however try it here, using Inside KSC's chatroom, and or a forum dedicated to countdown talk.
Do either of these ideas peak your interest?
