BANGOR - The Kennedy Space Center has donated the grand prize for the Challenger Learning Center's inaugural Astronauts' Ball.
The ball will be held on Friday, June 20 at Wellman Commons. The ball will include an evening of fine dining, swing band dancing, and $3,500 worth of prizes.
The ball will also feature special guests such as retired astronaut William F. Readdy, actual astronaut artifacts and exhibits from NASA.
The grand prize donated by the Kennedy Space Center will be a three-day trip to Orlando including the VIP opportunity to tour the space center and watch a space shuttle lunch from the restricted viewing area.
Advance reservations are required. Admission is $75 per person, $125 per couple and $500 for a table of eight. To make a reservation before June 13, call 990-2900, ext. 4.
