Discovery's astronauts have used the 50-foot orbiter boom sensor system to inspect the right wing and nose cap of the space shuttle. They now are beginning to survey the left wing. Data from the scan is transmitted to Mission Control, where experts will analyze the condition of Discovery's heat shield before giving a final "go" for re-entry and landing.
