The Flight Readiness Review, or FRR, resumed at 7:30 a.m. EDT at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Yesterday afternoon, the meeting ended following a discussion about the foam insulation loss issue related to space shuttle Discovery’s external fuel tank. Managers heard all different viewpoints and decided the external tank was able to fly "as is" without additional testing.

NASA officials are expected to set a launch date at the end of today's meeting. If a "go" is given for the targeted Aug. 25, 1:36 a.m. launch, the STS-128 crew will arrive at Kennedy's Shuttle Landing Facility at about 7:30 tonight in T-38 aircraft.
