A very bad day at work today

Upon arriving at work today, at the Kennedy Space Center, I found out via my wife Kathleen, that a very good friend of mine who also worked in IT at KSC had passed away last night.

Ken, being an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, and myself a New York Jets fan, annually had a bet of who's team would end up with a better record.

The winner would receive 30 Buffallo wings and beer. He had been so busy since I lost the bet in 2009, that I was never able to pay up. Now of course, its impossible.

Sorry to hear the bad news Rick. Similar happened to me in Jan. 09. One of my friends that I'd hung out with in grade school back in "the old neighborhood" but lost track of as an adult, contacted me back in 2002 out of the blue. We kept in contact after that and even worked X-Prize Cup together in 04. In the fall of 2008 we lost contact for a while and in January 09 I sent him a "howgozit" e-mail. His wife replied that he'd died just before Christmas. I'm still sad about losing my old pal the second time.
